Got a '67 Zenith combo and it needs another home!

I just picked up this '67 zenith combo from a friend who had it in his garage. This set is too huge for me to fit down the stairs to safely get it into the basement. Considering Im trying to thin down the collection, I should have passed on the offer. Its sitting in my garage right now. The pics are the TV in the other guys garage and he won't take it back.

Its in nice shape. The leg that you see missing is still with the set. It fell off and just never got glued back on way back when he got it over 10 years ago. Its a very clean non smoker set. Radio works, TV does not. From what I can tell, it has no B+, no sound or pic but the tubes light up. CRT is ok, however, a small crack in the lower right corner of the CRT protective lens. Remote control doesnt work, probably an open 10uf@3volt lytic in the power supply as Ive seen this happen on many of these. Motor drive works fine for the tuner. Very rare set. Its free to anyone who whats it. Would make a great electronic repair project. I really need to make space, so please take it and you'll have yourself a great set!

What chassis is this one??

Perhaps a 23xc36 (tv)and a 24xt24 and 6xt24 (for the stereo)or so?

And --how soon do you need this one out of there??

Chicago is not too far away from here...I was there not too long ago(Arlington hts) to get a Zenith 1971 Model console stereo(the one with the touch controls and big amp, 15" 3 way speakers), so I know it is not too bad of a drive for me.

I'm going to pick it up shortly, as well as another one he needs to move out. So it looks like this one will have a good home, and actually see some use in my family room!

Fine.

I was THINKING about coming out for it, but It would have just sat in my garage.(and I would have had to make room for it...) Knowing that you will actually USE it, and not just " store it" , makes me think it will have a better home with you. I am SURE you will restore it, probably remove the cataract, and so on. It would probably NOT have gotten that from me..at least not soon.

I already have a '64 Zenith Roundie combo, in my climate-controlled basement,(Chassis 25lc20qs/11l8t25/8lt25) along with my 29jc20 set, a 16g27 Zenith BW set on top if it, and my GE 810 BW roundie set on top of the combo-- (All work to some degree),along with some other "stash" items I "secured down there" "after hours". IF I get a CTC-5 RCA set--it will most likely go in the basement.
