1979 Sony KV-1944 resembles Profeel series

The design touches of the 1979 KV-1944 looks like a precursor to the Profeel line released a couple of years later. Had the pane (tempered?) glass guard that was also typical of some television designs to come in the '80s.

By appearance, it does resemble it... However, the chassis in that set is just a cheap single board, unlike the big steel-framed modular chassis in the Profeel sets.
