And i will have to learn to like em, I have 4 more GEs with variations of this chasis.
Although there were some tight and trick spots, The layout made checking B+ voltages very easy and going through the voltage doubler rectifer cap circiut was a snap as i did have to replace the selenium diodes and verify that i got it right the first time around. Stuffing the multi section eletrolytics were also quick and clean, Both caps are sleaved with cardboard covers and i was able to cut the cans close to the base, stuff and pop on the cardboard covers on leaving a factory original look. All in all the job posed some challenges that i was able to overcome, through past expirences and inovative technics i have picked up from others on this forum.

Great question!

What type of capacitor did you use for restuffing the 150uF @ 150 volts caps and how did you managed it so cleanly ?
I soon realised that 150uf/150v capacitors would be hard to find so i cheated, under the cardboard wrappers are two caps, a 100uf in parallel with a 47uf. The capacitor checker reads 144uf and the set is working good.
In the other GEs i will try two 80uf caps in parallel. On another note i have found a pipe cutter that will open up to 1 1/2 inches and will cleanly cut the aluminum can in two, making resuffing some caps a whole lot easier.

Thanks for the tips. I have have two of these chassis awaiting restoration. I dug up some 220uf @ 200 volt caps I was going to try. I wonder if that extra capacitance will pose a problem
