Hello from the Madison, WI area
Hey folks,
Glad to have found this place. Picked up a couple old TVs at an auction this past winter and become hooked on getting them working again. Did one solid state so far (RCA AJ-009E) and I'm working on an old tube based Magnavox suitcase TV now. Looking forward to learning from you all.

You're not terribly far from me. Are you aware that the Wisconsin Antique Radio Club is having a swapmeet in Madison this Sunday (next one there after that will probably be in May)? warci.org there's a few collectors that bring vintage TVs myself included... I'm probably going to bring a 1948 Stromberg Carlson and possibly a rough Zenith Flashmatic (first wireless remote TV) to the meet Sunday. I've got a pretty decent stock of TV signal tubes and could possibly bring some for you (assuming it's something I have and can find in my mess of a collection).
