Hello from the Madison, WI area
Hey folks,
Glad to have found this place. Picked up a couple old TVs at an auction this past winter and become hooked on getting them working again. Did one solid state so far (RCA AJ-009E) and I'm working on an old tube based Magnavox suitcase TV now. Looking forward to learning from you all. |

Welcome to Videokarma.
You're not terribly far from me. Are you aware that the Wisconsin Antique Radio Club is having a swapmeet in Madison this Sunday (next one there after that will probably be in May)? warci.org there's a few collectors that bring vintage TVs myself included... I'm probably going to bring a 1948 Stromberg Carlson and possibly a rough Zenith Flashmatic (first wireless remote TV) to the meet Sunday. I've got a pretty decent stock of TV signal tubes and could possibly bring some for you (assuming it's something I have and can find in my mess of a collection).
