When I was in Jr. High I thought those Spirit of '76 Zeniths were the coolest thing ever.

I've got one literally brand new in the box, and it didn't generate much interest here. But like I said in my thread, come 2076 I'll bet it becomes a whole lot more desirable (I'll be long dead by then, but I've already told my Son to keep it till 2076)

The '76 was a hot seller at the shop. IIRC they were $140.
This was due to being in the town that started the rev war
with open & on purpose warfare. And NO we are not talking Lexington !
Anyhows the 9" Zenith came AC only $120, AC/DC $130 or the '76
for $140. It included a sun screen. All AC/DC's could take a battery pack also.
Bottom line its not a rare set BUT be sure the artwork & knobs
are still mint if you want one.

If anyone wants one, I have at least 3 spirit of 76s all working and decent shape.
Better than the later Z 12" black and whites which used Chung Hwa CRTs. The chassis in them last forever though.

Very nice display of technology, to think I used to service the cellphones and program them with the very computers in my early days.

Can anyone identify the dark colored 14” rectangular set that is sitting on top of the 16” round tube Philco?

This has been bothering me as well. It almost looks like a Admiral that was sold after they discontinued the 12X12 roundie. The knobs don't look like Admiral though.
I spent a hour or more going through old pictures trying to ID it with no luck.

Possibly a Majestic, close relation to this 12 inch set:

https://picclick.com/Vintage-Majesti...697609231.html

Tv history describes a possibility: “[need photo] 1950 - (16T2) 14" tabletop, wood (mahogany), front panel is bakelite.”

Looking at them side I'd say you're right. You can even see the glue where the badge used to be on the to center above the CRT.

Now I want a Majestic........
