In the first photo, your lead in wires are connected to the UHF terminals. If it is really like that, Move them to the VHF terminals (lower two screws) and I bet you a beer it makes a picture.

If it isn't that, time to go inside. Sharp snow on the screen tells me that the whole thing is working though.
