They did, way back in 1963. They also developed the pin cushion correction circuit. That was one of the biggest problems when trying to develop the rectangular color CRT.
Every ones citing who made the worst CRT. Admiral is up there with some of the worst. That's the reason that they were the first to offer a three year warrantee. The lucky owners were the ones that the CRT failed before the end of the three year period.
Another runner-up was the Zenith 22UP22. They were poor as well.
