I also managed to get a 4.5" B/W GE TV/Radio/Clock that I used on a nightstand for several years. It has a cheesy woodgrain plastic cabinet, but the Clark(!) has ginormous numbers. Lost it several years back during a move-but it may surface someday...

Sony made a nice set of white 9" color TV's for a while with a remote and coiled cord. I have yet to come across one but I have a friend who has two and loves them.

I have two Sony's that are similar, only earlier models. June,1996. I don't have the under-cabinet mounts.

Nice, I've seen those coiled cord Sonys and they're super cute. These kinds would be easy to collect because they're compact.

The best kitchen set I had was a Sony KV-9000 9" Trinitron, until it began to arc and lose focus. At the time - 1990s, I was no longer into working on TV.
I also had a parts set -but let both go at a swap meet cause I was plain tired of Sony H-stat focus pot issues at the time. The CRT's were tired but still made decent color.

So I just grabbed another one of my TV rescues, a 1983 RCA 13" (EGA-330) color with one-knob tuner, which a friend of mine got and still has - it always looked good. I recall unboxing and setting these RCA's up for the old folks our store catered to. A few of the early ones, like sold in 1978-80 came back for a warranty flyback job and HOT, but other than that it was just that 800 mf cap, first on the power supply.

More recently friend of mine had a https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-80s...sAAOSw~y9c~a3U 9" Zenith color - horizontal keyboard tuner from '87 or so. I repaired a solder joint that affected the afc on cable, then she passed away and I never saw it again. I recall it being a SWEET little piece, I have seen them in colors.

The Emerson combo mini that Sandy mentions was pretty popular, must have been sold everywhere, and it was a decent receiver too.

I got this 5.5" Coby. Early-mid 00's cheap silver plastic. Was in the kitchen (in the cabinet!) now in the dark room. Apparently I wanted to watch something while I was stewing some Ektachrome......

That big white brick is the 12V PSU

Was the set sold as an accessory for the power supply?

Is that the original power supply for the set? Those little sets draw about 4 amps @ 12VDC.

I was just thinking the other day, how much I miss those 13" portable color TV's. Not only good for the kitchen, but also fairly easy to tote to the garage to watch a ball game while working on the car, or set outdoors on the patio table on a nice evening. Just plug in, pull up the rabbit ears, and they'd do a great job. My last "kitchen TV" was one of those RCA white 13" models with the water-resistant membrane remote. It was a great performer, but was obsoleted by the DTV conversion.

You should of bought a DTV convertor.
I use one of those clear RCA jail TV's that I use for the purpose. It has the built-in DTV tuner and works well with the rabbit ears and my home is 41 miles away from the transmitters.

I have one like that! Mine's battery and AC.
Those are different than the smaller ones. They have a invertor P.S. for the 12V operation.

I have a small collection of about five 13 inch televisions. I like them for the fact that they produce a bright clear picture. And they do not take up a lot of room. Can fit probably four of them in the same space that a 19in set would take up.

Still have an undercabinet LCD kicking around out in the garage. Probably 6" or so, with radio and CD or DVD. Not CRT, though.

Also have a 5" Emerson color clock/radio/TV from the 80s. Small pic is nice.
