Might be, though I didn't see an R and was just looking at brands starting with S. Just looking at the list of TV brands on Wikipedia and then Googling them yielded a lot of cool stuff, even if I didn't find a match.



I completely forgot to look at the back...shame on me, since that's how I found out that my KV-1201 is a KV-1201 (Sony badge on the front is missing).

I would remove the back but I'm afraid of messing it up...got another weekend of college and NFL football to watch on it soon
Just look at the inside with a bright flashlite, through the vent openings.
That's how, I found, the Panasonic Tau CRT is made by Samsung.
I don't know what they meant by Tau. Maybe it was supposed to compete with Sony Trinitron.
By the way, IIRC, the KV1201 is the lower priced plastic version on the KV1212, still a great set!
