Any Information on My RCA 21-S-510

I picked up this TV today it used to belong to my great grandmother, Its an RCA Victor Model 21-S-510N. It uses a 21 inch picture tube. I am wondering what I should expect when restoring this, as it will be my first TV restoration although I have done a few radios. Any gotchas or unobtanium parts? Also what kind of picture tube is this and is there a replacement out there if bad?

I brought it up on a dim bulb tester and all seemed fine, although I did have to find a 250 watt bulb as the power requirements are large for a set like this. I was disappointed as the picture tube did not light up at first but after leaving it on for about 10 minutes the picture tube became bright enough to watch in average room lighting, I got a raster and sound from my transmitter but I did not get a picture. Also there was a picture tube brightener on the CRT which may not be a good sign.

I see it's your first post. You came to the right place.
It probably has a KCS92 chassis, using a 21AMP4 CRT. I just re-worked a set just like it. Not bad to do, but it has many paper caps, that are well past their prime. It's one of the few RCA's that used stacked B+, that is, using the audio output tube as a voltage divider. It's OK, as just about every other TV manufacturer used it.
I wouldn't worry about the CRT, as it needs "waking up" as it's been lying dormant for many years.

Given you have raster the worst unobtanium parts (CRT and flyback) are still useably healthy.

I know of one rotting in northern Wisconsin....

After cleaning with a damp rag I have noticed that the CRT has Aquadag on only the rear 5" of the bell, shouldn't it cover the whole bell of the CRT?

That looks perfectly normal, they were probably shooting for a specific amount of capacitance, a full coating might exceed it.
Or they were just trying to save a few pennies, no need to coat the whole thing if it isn't needed.

Set would probably work with no Dag at all.

CRT is probably a rebuilt!
The set doesn't have a HV filter cap, so it needs some kind of an aquadag coating on the CRT. It is the set, I thought it was. A great working set, when restored.

That has been there longer than I've been alive. There are 1940's car doors and dashboard, (used to be) a tube radio, another TV chassis and a bunch of other stuff...If I had to guess that dump has been there since the 60's or 70's. It's pretty small, I doubt any one but me and the owners of the property it's on know of it. When I was ~5-7 years old and first came upon it while vacationing at the near by family cabin, I thought it was the coolest place on earth, and still sort of do.
