I remember the story Mom told me when JFK was shot, she was at lunch and remembers going to an electronics store to see the beginning of the TV coverage. She then got back to the office and told everyone, first they thought she was joking until someone came up with a transistor radio and they followed it fro there. I think she went home early that day.
