1967 RCA Combo
I got a email from a friend who had a aunt that had some empty TV cabinets. Her husband who passed away had gutted them a long time ago she said. They were stored in a nice dry basement and I went and got this 1967 RCA combo cabinet in very good condition. A friend already gave me the record changer and a friend in Georgia has the correct radio and record holder for it and I am put my ctc 28 TV in it cause I like this cabinet better than the one it was in. I am still waiting for the radio to be shipped from my friend.

Wow that set is throwing a damn nice pix.
Makes me think back to 1970 & my first days at the bench fixin sets like that & seeing them look real good. Nice work...... 73 Zeno

Nice! I would have done that if I had gotten my Silvertone metal table set before I found a console of that brand that had the TV section 'upgraded'....

That's a really nice combination cabinet, and a super RCA color picture! Congrats.

Nice combo and the CTC28 was one of the better ones IIRC, except for the flyback issues typical of RCA.
The amp and speakers should sound excellent with some electrolytic replacements, there are many 1mf to 5mf coupling caps that are usually bad. How is the record changer? reason I ask: I just restored one, the motor mount grommets (3) and control rod grommets (2 pair), caused several issues. These are available from Gary at VoiceofMusic Audio Enthusiasts.

Really nice! This made me think of the set my family had back in 1967. Unfortunately that one got away.

Got the radio today from my friend in Georgia who is very awesome and it sounds great. I got a needle on ebay and the record player I got from Dan who is also awesome works very well it changes records as it should and has good sound. I have been looking for the rite combo for my collection for years and seen several but none had the cabinet I wanted. This one had to be put back together but it was worth the wait.
