TV in Nightmare on Elm Street 3

I've always wondered what the make of the TV set is in this movie... It looks like an imported tube set.. Looks like shes holding up a 60's RCA remote to change the channel which I'm sure was done manually..

This shows how they actually did the scene.. Pretty neat.. They used a fake TV

I'm familiar with the scene. No idea what kind of TV it is. In one of the Freddy sequels, there's a Zenith roundie

I saw that sort of thing done in Ruthless People; a Zenith Space Commander 400 or 600 remote was used to change channels on a TV I didn't recognize. Also, the buttons I saw being pressed were the power/volume stepper and mute.

Watching the Bob Newhart Show recently and he was using a Zenith ultrasonic Remote on a Sony that probably wasn't even remote capable, later they went to a different set I can't identify but it isn't a Zenith.

The Zenith used in Freddy's Dead, I actually brought that up over a year ago on here..

Since looking at the bottom youtube link I've posted, I think the TV was made up, and they had a smaller one sitting inside of it when it was on, notice the screen how it looks uneven at times.. They had to create the sides to pop off for the arms to come out, and the top for Freddy's head.. Also notice when they zoom in and the label on the TV set says Krueger.. I think there was a set made that resembles this, which reminds me of something that's Japanese tube.. I think they did make something like this that has a speaker grill on both sides and the VHF/UHF knobs being on the lower side instead of the upper side.. I bet the front bezel is real but modified for the movie.. They probably found an old non working 60's, early 70s set and robbed the knobs and bezel..
