It must vary quite a bit from location to location. The local Habitat for Humanity ReStore here has quite a few of those items right now, including several CRT TVs, and their list of "things we can't accept" is much shorter.

Probably right; last time I was in the local one (early this summer) they had maybe a dozen BPC sets for sale. Likely varies depending on how much space they have and how hard it is to get rid of junk sets in that particular area.

Looks like Goodwill is out too. They said today that they only take '05 and later.

Soon there aren't going to be any left!

Not sure if they still have em, but anyone near the Mtn. Home, AR area in need of a 35Z5 can check the salvation army there, last check they had a large box full of them, $1 apiece.

Judging by what I'm seeing, I understand why they are likely doing this. I still sell a few CRT TV's; but, they must have A/V jacks on them and be housed in either a silver or black plastic cabinet. If I were to try to sell a woodgrain plastic set from the '80's, I'd likely be stuck with it. If I were to try to sell something with knobs, I would be stuck with it.

Back in the early '90's, I could sell just about any working TV, no matter how old and it didn't matter if it was B&W or color. Today, people have gotten very picky and that's probably why Goodwill will not accept TV's older than '05. They know that anything older will just sit there taking up space.

Check shopgoodwill.com. I'm letting the cat out of the bag, they have a 1957 Magnavox Intercontinental leather covered radio on there. They have had a vintage tube set from time to time as well.
