Tis true that cat owners joke freely about cooking eating themand other treacherybecause they have an annoying sense of complacent entitlement. The walnut-sized brain conjures up unending actions to cause annoyance and worse for their caretakers.
They walk right in front of you causing tripping, dropping laundry baskets and other things to assert control. It is a normal manifestation of our seething jealousy to want to do these things, like putting strips of painter's tape, sticky side up, on the kitchen countertop.

I have taken to placing screen mesh behind speaker grill cloth to foil their random acts of destruction on my 1930's radios.

My outdoor cat (his choice), my third of those "Orange/white" ones, only 10 pounds and very fast, friendly, and can climb anything without needing rescue.

The indoor cat is an 18 pound female, part maincoon, likes attention from the kids and is very noisy.

I think that the "breath sucking" stories are mostly "old wives tales" Snopes says this:

Aww, bullshit. Cats are Eeville creatures. They look at you funny, flick their tails, & are generally intractable. Just like me....(grin)

Eeville?? Nah! Pip does not have an eevile (or perhaps any) thought in his brain... totally innocent.

jr

Added second thought: Well, perhaps not totally innocent! (see second pix)

The last time I was at your place, you had two of the cutest little kittens. I hope you found a good home for them. I'm part of an association, where I'm limited to three cats.

I have three of the little monsters, all male unfortunately so they're constantly playing little dominance games with each other.

The little 9 pound, 15 year old, declawed Siamese is always fighting with the 30 pound, 4 year old, razor clawed Tuxedo, guess who wins?
