First one was a big disappointment.

This one was my first roundie and almost my last. When The Stromberg Carlson TV-12 arrived it was in a crate that one would use on a world expedition.

Yes it did come with the guts, But the crt base was detached and some of the lead wires were broken off flush with the glass. Although the vacum was intact there was f#%k-all i could do. I did find a Dumont 12QP4 on ebay to replace the 12JP4.

No illusions as to what task lays ahead. Most of the caps did checked ok
but due to age and a lousy reliabiliy, they did have to go.

Early repairs got the set going but it was a mess.

Lots of touble just waiting to happen.

Some more ugly!

Strangely this has the looks of a Dumont.

After changing a bunch of paper & eletrolytic capacitors and the crt this is what i got.
Needless to say time heals most wounds and i have a few more roundies in the collection.
