I think it is TTL type logic, I know there is a quad NAND chip in the control ckt. for the tuner. A 7400 series or such. The tuner control has to have 5V. ALL of the time--to work. no MPU--just SSI chips, diodes and transistors.
BTW--the smoked doors DO fold back into the sides of the set.
