Scott TV/Phono/Radio in Waukegan
I haven't seen one of these before, and it looks to be in great shape. Too bad the address won't be available till after July 14th...

That has a bigger CRT than my Scott combo, but the simpler radio (no motorized tuning or shortwave). Scott had a real mix 'n match policy. You could get a variety of TVs in a variety of cabinets. I have spent years trying to identify the TV in mine.
My combo gives you the option of piping the TV sound through the 800B radio's superior audio section and 15" coax speaker. Beats the heck out of the audio from most vintage TVs, although you are heating 52 tubes while playing in that mode. I'm a little puzzled by the auction photo of the rear of their TV chassis. Is there something shaped like a big metal disc back there? Between the power transformer and CRT neck. Phil Nelson

I've been wanting a Scott radio for years if I can get there and the price is right, I just might buy it.

I like your Scott. That's Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne on the screen. Are you playing Hitchcock's "The Lady Vanishes"? |

We have a collection of early Hitchcock films, so that might be it. That pic was taken a while ago, as you might have guessed from the Betamax on top. That deck still works well, but it doesn't get much use any more.
