my loss is your gain...

Ok folks,

I have to sell some TV's off. Its gotten out of control. Im ready to move the rest of my collection from my parents house into my new house and I simply have WAY too much.

To start things off, I really must sell this monster '74 Zenith combo I just received a few weeks ago. Yes indeed, you can call me a foolish moron for shelling out the cash to get it delivered to Chicago and just end up selling it off. Its simply too much for my house and it doesn't fit as well as I hoped in my back den. I refuse to bring it into my basement as I would probably be killed trying to do so. Combos are out of the question for me. You want even better news? I carefully repaired the amp and the thing works 100% perfect, both channels clear as a bell with equal balance. I installed all new nichicon 1uf lytics throughout the receiver preamp, there were about 10 of them, all dry as a bone. The amp itself was perfect. I did all the work for you, carefully and neatly and you get to benefit from it. The thing will blow you into the next planet when you crank it up. I don't need to say any more how powerful this thing is do I? Every dial lamp and indicator lamp now works. Its a plug and play now, TV works perfect. Horizontal solid state 25EC58 is unbeatable, remote control works perfect on every function. Phonograph works great too.

Ok, I paid way too much for it factoring in the cost to get it here. I'm offering it for $450, Im taking a loss but I know theres no way I'll get what I had to pay for it. Consider that for $450, its alot closer to those who could reasonably pick it up, its mint, it has every paper and manual that came with it, including the remote. You can't get any better than this. I need to get it out asap, nobody will be disappointed. I have more TV's piled in the basement that also need to go. I will announce the sell off later on. As for the combo, lesson learned not to make impulse purchases, but the good news is, it's been saved. Without me doing the leg work to get it here, it would be crushed and buried by now. Plain and simple. Don't forget that!

Interested? Email me direct; [email protected]. I'm not a fan of VK private messages. Please don't email me asking what else I have, like I said, I will make the announcement soon.

Thanks-

Considering all that you're getting, and who you are dealing with, this is a good deal. This is probably as fine a set as you could find anywhere, on several grounds. This could certainly be the only set in somebodies collection, and could be the last TV you ever need to buy. Seriously.

Really wish I was closer as I know there will be somethings on "clearance" that I would like to have. Probably a good thing!

Drool, drool, drool...I'd LOVE to give it a home, but I ain't got the money, & even if I did, there's prolly NO WAY that Bad Boi could survive a trip to the green hills of Tennessee & still look like that...

Any takers before it gets donated? It's not like I've lost money before... I usually like to buy high and sell low, or in most cases, buy high and end up giving away for free...
I'm restructuring my collection and my own life for that matter.

Where would it be donated TO??? If it is the SA or goodwill--it is just as good as "crushed and buried" anyway....

Oh...I would LOVE to give this set a home!! But I am ALSO WAY short on funds right now, with a VERY uncertain job future too. But I am NOT short on room anymore. Nonetheless...Maybe there is some way for us to "trade" for the price of this set.

I do have a number of things I would part with that you might want, including a couple of "portable" Zenith sets, one is all--tube, one is a 4T hybrid, a 19" RCA tube set, a 16" Zenith tube set, and many others.

I won't lowball you Doug and will pay your full price. But let's see if somebody else has more room for it before you get desperate.

Most of these kinds of sets I've seen in poison were kinda cheap, shoddy, rather dreadful things that kinda reeked of Neuveau Riche...THIS one kinds proves they didn't HAVE to be that way...

Still wish I had the money. This set is in perfect condition, plus it's a combo. Someone get it before I feel bad.

As long as one of US gets it.....and it does NOT end up becomming a "fish tank", flat--panel " cabinet", or "bar", or such-- then I am fine. I just did NOT want it going to goodwill or SA, as I KNOW they will NOT likely even TRY and selll it--and it will be "crushed and buried" which would NOT be fair--considerinfg the 2000 mile trek it has already taken to get here.
