I don't understand why this is really worthwhile. You're spending all that time to tear it apart, separate everything, load it in a truck, use expensive fuel to go to a recycling center, and unload it and wait while they weigh it. Each tv is only worth about 5 bucks according to the comments, but you're probably spending 3 times that in effort and expenses. You'd need to scrap alot of TV sets, and then there are all the carcasses left behind that are essentially toxic waste.

To each their own I guess.
