Actually, quality is almost a perception. When I was a landscaper I got to work with people from all over the world. I had a friend that was from Poland, a mechanical engineer. We often had discussions about the quality of cars, and the equipment we used every day. My mustang with its 5.7 liter engine was a very wasteful thing to people from his part of the world. It was funny, him, and his buddies thought american cars were the things to have. I had just got a new Prelude and given up on my rustang lasting much longer. Each week those guys were fixing their LTD II's 81 Cutlass Supreme, Chevy Buick Cavileer, and always confused at the unreasonable number of things that had to be removed to get to the part that needed replacement, or that there were items with no adjustment and did not fit any better than the part they were replacing. "American Yougo's they were." The LTD II where you could not get to the heater core unless you removed the dash. He was not an engineer and cut the firewall and replaced it that way.... He got smart on how junky that car was... they all eventually got honda's
In the home country of the Daewoo I bet its a quality respected brand. GM cars in china are very respected, and from what I hear they are much better than the US version of GM. Daewoo for export? and a Daewoo for domestic consumption? I think the predicta is an ugly thing and would not have one in my living room.
