A Couple Good Finds

I know we have a lot of Space Command fans here:

It looks to be from around 1980 or so. It is a remote set, but then again, how much of a purpose does the original remote control really serve you with DTV nowadays?

This is my second Hitachi posting from Ebay (the first one I posted from March 1983 was just recently sold):

You can "Buy it Now" for very cheap (under $16). Don't miss out!

Oh that is a Very Good Set. It looks like an 1981 model.

These System 3 have Tri-Focus Picture Tubes on both of 19" and 25" models.

The Tri-focus picture tubes uses two differnt focus voltages. The picture quality are super sharp.

I have agreed with the ad (National Geographic) that the zenith sets gives a 25 % sharper than Ordinary sets.

There's plenty you can do with a remote set, I have a small head end setup hooked to cable and converter boxes and can use a remote set or any set in the house with just rabbit ears or hook it up direct. Cable can also be hooked right to the tv and the analog channels are there (2-13). I can also take a set outside and use rabbit ears when I'm cooking out and drinking beer

Oh. I didn't know that you could still use the original remote to change channels, etc. For all I know, the set was hooked up to cable already and that remote was the one that came with it originally. I really can't tell.
