Well, I can tell you that if you're saddled by a Motorola digital cable box there is no "flipping" through the channels - you could cover five channels with a mechanical remote in the time it takes the modern box to advance one station.
I'll tell you something else that's a modern pain today - 300+ channels and the "channel guide." I'm sorry, but I can't remember the channel numbers of the few networks I may be interested in viewing. Combing through the channel guide (the networks are abbreviated) can take five minutes. Christ, I just want to see IF anything is on that interests me. And I have no better luck with 300+ channels than with the 21 OTA choices. I don't even try watching TV when I get home from work - at 2:30/3:00 in the morning I'll bet there are over 200 infomercials airing - a total waste.
