I spent a few hours at the ARCI flea market today. Here are a few items that caught my eye and what I dragged home.

A Crosley I think?

If only I had the room!

A nice GE set

I wish I had picked this Westclox Moonbeam clock up. I have a few others, but I've never seen this model before. The case was more orange, the face has a crosshatch pattern, and the font for the numbers is cool.

A seller dragged this sucker out just as I was leaving. It's a Packard Bell.

Cool 'bomb sight' tuning

And here's what I brought home. A bunch of Teleaides, parts, knobs, an Admiral 19A11 and one globe tube. Not bad for $54.

I've got a bunch of yokes, vertical transformers, various coils and ion traps. I doubt I need most of these. I'll draft up a list when I get a chance and post it if you guys need anything.

I've officially joined the ranks of guys who need a good 7JP4

Finally, I've got all the right knobs for my 20X122

My Admiral 19A15S is looking loads better too. I'm not quite sure if these are correct (big cursive A?) but a lot better than those white ones!

My Philco 15DX almost has a full compliment of period globe tubes. Just need an 80 and two 42s. There were plenty of tubes at the event, but the prices were a bit steep.

All in all, a good show. The few guys who had TVs or TV related gear were really eager to sell it. There's one more day of events on Saturday if anyones interested.

A Crosley indeed! I have one much like it in a more basic cabinet which is also missing the control door. I think finding those things still attached is rarer on Crosleys than on Admirals!

Yes, very nice. I've got nearly the exact set (w/ rectangle mask) though the cabinet on mine is more scuffed. Lovely series-strung chassis as in their locomotive. Question...were these GE sets the first use of 19BG6 and 25W4 tubes?

Of course it looks quite a bit more impressive on a proper mount than it does laying next to a Pepsi can!

I have the same set, or a near-identical one, and the knobs you need are the same ones as your other Admiral. I think all of their early sets used the same knobs but with some color variations. My oldest Admiral is a 30A15, I think, a 10" floor-standing model with Channel 1. Its channel knob does not have the extended arm as on the ones in your pictures.

I was looking at the GE there, that was a nice set.
I was hoping to get some tubes for my PortaColors there, but left all the numbers at home. I guess I'll have to go back next time

Wow! Wish I had time to drive there. Thanks for mentioning the Westclox Moonbeam. My dad used to have one and I haven't been able to figure out what to look for. Now that I know the name, it'll be a lot easier.

If you don't need the double field ion trap in the center top of the photo, the one with the black sleeving on the two wide poles, I'd be happy to buy it from you.

Looks like a great event! Wish there was something on that scale close to me.

I have a Moonbeam upstairs, the clock doesn't run. Something I'll sell one of these days.

Was the $35 Victor radio complete? I know guys who will buy them just for the amps (which they sell on ebay.) I have one and at times have thought about selling it...but they are unique sets.

maxm, I bet I'm not the only guy on here who could set you up with a set of portacolor tubes from his stock!

Those Moonbeams pop up on eBay all the time and I saw at least two at this event. I have 3 and a spare shell, but all of them have issues. Clock runs fine, but the alarm doesn't work - alarm works, but the clock does run well, etc.

You can have the ion trap - just PM me your info.

Wow Bob! What a haul! AWESOME! I think next time I get some extra cash, I should meet up with you at one of these. I've never gone and man, the stuff I'm missing out on! I have one of those rat shack 300 in 1 kits, my Mom bought it for me for Christmas back in like '92 or 3. I might make something out of it again one of these days,LOL.

Neat clocks! Yeah, that's why my dad got rid of his way back when. He couldn't trust the alarm any more.

Sure, that be great. Here are the upcoming events for IL.
I've been to Peotone a few times and it's a good event, but I might have to pass on it 'cause my "check engine" light came on yesterday

Not to veer off topic but that light might just be your oxygen sensor, hopefully.
