I'd like to have that set to go with the Suburbanite console I have that is in the wheat finish. I wonder if that fiberglass cabinet would survive shipping? |

I had a newer Silvertone fiberglass set (same color as this one) shipped to me a few years ago, it was a thinner one with a newer type CRT. The fiberglass survived but the plastic bezel around the CRT was completely smashed in one corner.
Some day I need to try to glue all the pieces back together... |

I have one of these in the same color. It does have a small crack, but is otherwise ok.
I also have a Motorola "Fiberjet" fiberglass TV. I guess fiberglass was the new thing in the 1950s, so several TV manufacturer's used it for the case. |
