I watched it yesterday evening: great 1951 movie! The only drawbacks are the totally artificial "romantic" moments.

The Ox-Bow Incident!
Watched it on Encore the other night.

I enjoy the ending scene where Henry Fonda reads the letter.

Get rich or die trying: Fifty Cents.
Murderous intrigues in the rough edge of the city. Surprisingly well put together.

Yesterday evening I watched Planet of the Vampires keeping up with my vintage science-fiction cycle. It is considered as an important influence on Ridley Scott's Alien. Interesting film!

Enemy Mine on Encore today!
Still a bit campy for me, but Lou & Dennis work together very well.

The Great Raid about the 1945 rescue mission of the last surviving pows from the Bataan death march, I was completely satisfied by the film with the exception of one too many guest actor appearances by Captain Dale Dye the movie soldier training guy. I love him but he takes me out of the movie. The documentary on disc two "The Ghosts of Bataan" is must see material.

3:10 to Yuma, loved it

I love foreign sci-fi because I've seen so little of it. This one looks good. A Netflix membership is looming in my future.

The International (not bad)

I liked it too, almost a documentary in style. Another you might be interested in is "To End All Wars" -

In case you have not seen it yet, please have a look to "Ikarie XB1" (aka "Voyage to the end of the Universe"). There is a thread about it here:

I'm an admirer of Tarkovsky (Solaris, Stalker).

Quarantine (2008)
Tagline:
On March 11 2008, the government sealed off an apartment complex in Los Angeles. The residents were never seen again. No details. No witnesses. No evidence. Until now...
