"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"

Very good, sort of like "Forrest Gump" meets "Big Fish". Time well spent.

"Junebug"

Very good. Chicago art dealer meets the salt of the earth in North Carolina. Rang true.

"The White Diamond"; a documentary by Werner Herzog.

Wonderful and dreamlike; typically spellbinding fare from Herzog about a scientist trying to perfect a two-man airship and testing it over the Amazon jungle (and a dark secret as part of his efforts.)

Only in Herzog's films will you see scenes like this one: a local Rastafarian sitting smoking in a see-through inflatable chair in the clearing in the jungle where they are prepping the airship, talking about how beautiful the ship is (hence the name he gives it.)

Typical enjoyable modern animation. They actually seem to do a nice job of blending enough humor and irony into these things to keep both adults and children interested.

Monsters Vs. Aliens (in 3D)

Another good animation. 3D rendering was excellent. Good story, good humour, and the little ones were glued the whole time.

"Taken"...Not too realistic, but enjoyable. Bad guys should definitely get it, and many do in this one.

OK 7 days.....

Star Trek (Rocked)
The Lost City (Andy Garcia, pretty good Cuban revolution story)
28 Weeks Later (Should have waited until it was an animated .gif)
The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (Roger Corman, quite good old school sci-fi)
The Three Musketeers (Oliver Reed, et al, still a fave despite countless viewings)
