Not to nitpick, but....
I have to DVR the episodes of "Life on Mars" due to a schedule conflict, and watch them as time allows. I try not to concentrate on "errors" in that the show is set in 1973. I am sure if I watched each episode several times, I would see these "errors".
On the last episode that I watched (aired 3/18), two of the detectives are on a stakeout. They are in a black van with graphics. The problem is that the van is at least a 1976 or later model, because it has square headlights! In fact, it has 4 square headlights. Cadillac sold the first cars with square headlights as 1975 models. They were not legal until January 1, 1975 and as a result did not go on sale until 1/1/75. Obviously the van could not have been equipped this way in 1973. Anyone else spot these type of errors?
