And the one everybody remembers is Carol Burnett's dead-on spoof of Ms. Swanson and "Sunset Boulevard." Carol is a comic genius.

Shame on any film fan who hasn't seen that movie. It's a brilliant film and Gloria Swanson, who was a very popular silent-film star, turns in one of the most skilled and creepy performances in movie history. She makes you believe the old woman's elevator stopped going to the top floor years ago.

All the people mentioned played creepy roles, and some had creepy faces, and I can see why they are listed.

But the two who creep me out the most are: (1) a younger Leonardo DiCaprio (today he doesn't creep me out any more), and (2) another minor actor they tried to promote years ago whose name escapes me. He also had that sort of effeminate creepy-eyebrow look to him. Something about these kind of "pretty boy" or "girlie boy" looks is repulsive, IMO, in a way that no "evil character" can be.

Attached is a pic of Rondo Hatton, who was mentioned before; I think many younger AKers won't remember him, so the pic is provided for reference.

Another cool but creepy one is the guy who plays the head Thug priest in the old B/W movie of "Gunga Din", when he tells the acolytes to "Kill in the name of Kali, Kill! Kill! Kill!" (You can find the scene on YouTube, if you sit through enough segments of the movie; I think it's around part 6 or 7).

The creepiest actor for me has to be Billy Drago, master portrayer of vicious druglords and evil, psychopathic killers. Only once have I ever seen him play a role that could be considered a good guy.

My nominees for creepy ones are, Christopher Walken in Sleepy Hollow, Zelda Rubenstein in Poltergeist, John Malkovich in In the Line of Fire, Gary Oldman in Dracula, Tobin Bell in Saw, Danny Devito as Penguin in Batman Returns, Larry Drake in Dr. Giggles, and a few more I will name later........

Ted Levine is on the TV series Monk. I wasn't paying attention and my mom was watching it one night, and he said something....it sent chills down my back bringing back memories of Silence of the Lambs. Turns out he's a good guy in the show.
