Formula one
In case you forgot, the first F1 race of the season starts at 1:30 am EST Satuday. That's 20 minutes from now on Speed TV. Thank God it's back.

Holy crap! Thanks for the heads up.I keep forgetting that the first race is usually in Austrailia, which puts it on Saturday night instead of early Sunday morning.Id love to see the kid repeat as champ.

Damn, that was good race! Its nice to see Barichello and Button back on the podium again. And Hamilton going from 18th to 4th was pretty cool, too. All these changes look to make for exciting racing this year.

It was a great race. I wonder if everybody will have rear diffusers ready for Malaysia. I'm curious to see if that will help the usual front runners catch up to Brawn.

Wait until some legal dispute modifies the final results....

Once again, the cars and not the drivers determine who is fastest. Put Hamilton in the Braun and he wins.
I like the switch back to slicks but I don't like the rule dictating use of both soft and hard compounds during the race. KERS is gimmicky. Anyways, F1 is getting closer to the showmanship of American racing. |

I am not sure what's best for F-1...Hard to avoid having an unlevel field when money dictates your abilities. But, at the same time, it would take a team with financial might to survive a few years to challenge. but that wont happen as people want fast returns on investment.
didnt it all go to crap when cigarette makers and liquor were banned?..:-)

Agree that CART in early to mid 90's was the best show for the reasons cited plus - a combination of ovals, street and dedicated road courses. Loved the variety.
Another way to look at Sunday's results is - the drivers, even the older ones (Rubens more than Jenson, of course) are talented enough to win given a decent ride. That's one thing that's been missing lately and I hope Rubens wins several this season, since (I don't think) there's a #1 and #2 driver on Brawn. |

Geez, that one race changed it all? that all it is, one race. I was referring to the status-quo that has existed for decades..
