The Dark Knight: The best of the Bat Man movies, by far. Not for the kiddos.

The Great Debaters: Took some historical liberties, but all in all an excellent film.

Topper 1937, rented the dvd. It was actually pretty funny, and the few special effects were pretty good for the time. Think the movie "Ghost" only as a comedy.

"The Lives of Others"

Absolutely first rate story-telling, and what a story it is (the Stasi, and the last years of the GDR).

In about two or three hours it's going to be The Dark Night.

Prior to that it was Badder Santa.

"Bug". Very strange film. Definitely not a "horror" film; more of a psychological drama. Very well acted on the parts of both Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon. Worth a watch. If you have Showtime, check your Jan 26 and Jan 31 listings for airtimes.

Journey to the Center of the Earth. The new remake with Brenden Frasier. Pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up. For some reason GDR stories often fascinate me. eg "Spy who came in from the cold".
