Wink Time for Teletubbies

Anyone as mesmerized with this show as I am? Probably wouldn't have watched it without a two year old, but this is a brilliantly devised program.

Up there with Mister Rogers as one of the classics.

Then ther was the Saturday Night Live skit in the british courtroom, staid, conservative, lawyers with wigs all over the place.

Then someone in the jury jumps up and screams, "Time for Teletubbies!

Extremely funny if you happened to be there......

I love the baby as the sun thing at the front and back. The rest of it leaves me cold.

Besides Twinky-Winky is gay and Po is a commie.

Boo-bahs are way better. Do not watch the show under the influence of anything, or you will freak out.

Teletubbies really does have it's own weird charm. Pretty good TV if you're stuck in bed sick.
I'll also admit that it's a lot more intelligent than most primetime network TV shows!

I've not watched Teletubbies in an altered state.

However, one of my fond memories from 1980 or so was watching Mister Rogers Neighborhood under the influence of an unnamed compound.

And that was the funniest Mister Rogers I've ever seen.

Yeah from the smell of just changing a diaper.

My kids loved that show when they were two years old, thank goodness they are now six and have moved on to Sponge Bob!

Ditto.

I, too, have moved on to Mr. Squarepants with my kids.

If we really have reached the point where supposedly adult parents have gotten so damaged by watching infant-TV with their kids that they now claim to enjoy it themselves, I am very happy never to have had kids.

This is not the only place I have seen people in their 20es and beyond saying they actually sit and watch this....very strange

Best,
C.

What a nasty post. I think we are ALL very happy you didn't breed.
As for the show, I like the bunnies walking around, but don't care for the rest of the show.

J & K,

The idea that 'adults' are watching, and claiming to enjoy, something that is psychologically tailored to 2-3 year olds I find somewhat disturbing.
And yet, you think I am the one who is completely off base for mentioning it.....

Secondly, somehow, because I never had the desire to have kids, all of a sudden I am considered unsympathetic and my general happiness is called into question for posting something to that effect....

Jack, glad I could make you (and, by your inference, many others) happy by 'not breeding'

Best Regards,
C.
