The interview segment Deck-A-Rep: The Nature Of Rick Deckard explains it all.

I don't need the interview to tell me who Deckard is....I read the book. Besides what right do they have to spoil that part of the film. I think the Directors cut handled the whole thing rather well, I don't see why they need to clarify it any further.

Is the 4-disc version available sans-case?

I'm just in it for the DVDs.

Though that case makes for a badassss collectible.

Yes. And clearly described earlier in this thread. I even typed out everything included on the DVDs Paul. What more do you want? Jeez Louise you're a hard sell.

Too many cuts, versions, releases, toys, box sets, packaging and releases for me to keep track of.

I overlooked, I guess.

EDIT- Yep- went back and found it, written out clear as day. Doh!

Sorry. I have a (very weak & feeble?) excuse though- I was finishing off my bottle of Absinthe last night, and dreaming about Miss Hannah trying to kill me by crushing me with her legs...

Ain't that complicated Paul. You choose to make it that way though.

Cheers

Agreed!

I know I'll get flamed for this one, but i tell ya, if I were in the same room with Sean Young, I'd die a slower death- one of boredom!

That punk-rock princess Darryl has so much more going for her...

Sorry if I somehow stepped on your toes.

I appreciate your help, and indeed I'll be looking to check out the 4-disc version. Sounds like an incredible treat to be able to watch all four versions of the releases.

Thank you.

In case I sound like I'm not a fan of this box-set-

I studied film in college, and always have enjoyed the different re-releases and tweaked versions of a film, such as Apocalypse Now: Redux, the two versions of Terry Gilliam's Brazil, and the re-released Star Wars films, done with CGI.

I haven't seen the new Donny Darko re-release, which from what I can garner, is mostly changes in the soundtrack.

Four different releases of Blade Runner will make for a very interesting veiwing- I've never seen the international release, just the original US release, and parts of the one sans-voiceover.

So, once again, I apologise if I've offended you or rubbed you the wrong way. I do appreciate your info on this, and look forward to catching all four films.

Paul

Can't get into Hannah . Sean Young's character in this movie hints at an intensity that promises to cause permanent physical damage if properly coaxed.

I feel if it were a poll, I'd get out-voted on this one. I still would vote for Darryl Hannah, but I confess I believe Sean Young would indeed get the bulk of the votes.
