Tom PS: Odd. I can't find any buttons to upload a file in the Advanced page. I can't click on and add any smilies, either. PPS: 2:10am Rebooting, cache clearing, defragging, and other crap worked. Or maybe it was a server hiccup.

I like the Reginald Owen version but the Alastair Sim version is tops for me.
I dearly love "A Christmas Carol" and am quite fond of most cinema and television versions, from Mr. Magoo and Albert Finney to Seymore Hicks and George C. Scott. I'll watch 'em all. The great Lionel Barrymore was a magnificent actor who portrayed Scrooge many times on radio. I think a cinematic version starring LB would have been terrific.

The Fonz was not too bad. Captain Picard did the role justice as well.
But the Albert Finney version has always been my favorite even though its a musical.

When Marleys face appeared on Scrooges door knocker, I nearly crapped my drawers. Couldn't sleep a wink, and it was Christmas Eve. I was about 10.
