Motorola VT-71 on ebay, would be a nice restoration project
would make a nice winter project .

I wonder if the crt shattered or is that some kind of garbage trappped between the safety glass and the crt .

The "garbage" you see is the normal "melted rubber gasket" that is a problem on nearly all of the VT-71s out there. Mine already had that problem in 1979-80.

This one looks like it is in pretty good shape, physically. Before bidding, I would ask about the shipping cost. No amount is listed, and you would not want to have them tell you "our shipper is going to charge $100 to pack it and ship by UPS".

Thats not a bad price . I think that a VT-71 will be the next set I will bid on . or a admiral 19A11 . I still don't have a electrostatic TV
I was looking at the delco 7" that sold a week or so and I was surprised that it sold for $237.00 , it sat there for days at $9.99 starting bid . there were not many sets with the delco name on them , I read somewhere the Delco's were actually Hallicrafters , they look the same . |
