How about Black Christmas and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things? Both by "Porky's" director Bob Clark, who was killed, along with his son, by a drunken illegal mexican on the Pacific Coast Highway recently.

I am shocked at the mention of Blair Witch. That was one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on a moviegoing public.

That one always has me squirming in my chair too. TCM usually shows it every year around Halloween. I also like House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price.

Holst, I saw Shaun of the Dead a couple months ago, and I don't know when I've laughed so hard. It's on my "must own" list...

Paul I'm glad to know I'm not the only AKer to have seen Audition or Session 9. Tell me, did you ever get to finish Session 9, or are you still hanging?

This one scared me to death every time I saw it as a kid. Today, though, it is almost laughable. I hate that. I want to be scared now too!

Dementia 13 (Coppola's 1st)

Mr. Sardonicus (William Castle, director of a few previously mentioned films)

Rocky Horror Picture Show (must go to theater for this one)

Good to know, I watched a clip of it on YouTube with a buddy of mine and we were busting guts.

Excellent movie!

More of a suspense movie than a horror movie tho...

Bill, I love David Lynch's work, and Cronenburg is excellent too. It's been years since I've seen "Nightbreed", and only one I hadn't seen was "In The Mouth Of Madness".

I'm still hanging.

I know- shame on me.

Always wanted to see "Wait Until Dark", and liked Dementia 13 very much.

Excellent suggestions, Jack. I liked both Japanese and American versions of The Grudge and of The Ring. A Tale of Two Sisters is on my Netflix que. The Thing is another great classic.

Thanks for the other great tips there!
