1408 was good supernatural thriller without too much of the predictable setups. Good build up to the suspense and a nice twist to the ending. Written by Stephen King.

The last one I watched was a newer French version of Robinson Carruso. It had had English subtitles, but after a while it was not as bothersome as I thought it would be. It was actually a good movie If you rent the DVD, remember it is a two parter. The first ends abrubtly, as Robinson dines on his first taste of human flesh and passes out. I thought that was the end until I fast forwarded and found the second part.

Live Free Or Die Hard, the latest Die Hard flick.I enjoyed it a lot.I hear it was mainly CGI free, other than the jet thing at the end.I liked it better than 2 or 3,but not as much as the first one.His sidekick is quite good, too.

Dogma - ROTFLMAO
Koyaanisqatsi - I've now learned to breathe while watching this
Spawn - so, so, but some really good bits make it worthwhile
X-men - the first is so often the best
Night at the Museum - as we didn't catch it at the movies
Once Upon A Time There Was The West - Sergio Leone's masterpiece, and Henry Fonda's also
Tampopo - ROTFLMAO and I'm hungry

GROSS WARNING. Do not read if squeamish.

"Isolation".

One of the weirder, dumber B movie premises I've seen in a long time.

It should've been called ALIEN COW.

Genentic experiments to produce better cows gone wrong at an abandon dairy farm.

Woman genertic engineer gets her hand chomped by something with teeth while checking a pregnant cow. Next 25 minutes 2 guys trying to pull the thing out with a hand winch.

Of course they leave the mess until the morning by which time the alien cows thingy's come to life (looking a lot like the original aliens from Alien).

So the next hour is spent trying to catch these fast little suckers running amuck biting anbody that gets in their way.

The timid girl of the crew finally goes head to head with the one crazy engineer/scientist trying to save the critters and seems to save the day and destroys all the Alien Cows. Unfortunatley, everyone else doesn't make it.

4 months later cut to the pregnancy ward and an ultrasound -

... guess what?

Like in a theater?
At least a number of years, it was down in KC when I visiting my brother and sis-in-law and we went to the matinee showing of %#@! can't remember the title but was set during the Civil War and earned a best-supporting actress Oscar.

Apocalypto was excellent, I highly recommend it. Be warned it is quite graphic.

I have been buying movies I've never seen, but always wanted to.
For example-I never saw Close Encounters, but it seems everybody else on the planet has.
Yesterday, I watched Trainspotting.
I really liked it. It surprised me that it would be so funny.

Any movie seen anywhere Bully. I'll bet you are talking about Cold Mountain.

Saw Musa or "The Warrior" the other day. It is a Korean film from 2001 set in 14th century China. The action scenes alone make it worthwhile, some excellent characters too.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Star Wars was the talk at the early 1980’s just when home cinema sound was starting off. Both films where released in regular optical Dolby stereo A type and by the “Road Show” 70mm six-track Dolby stereo A “Baby Boom” type engagements at selected cinemas with dual 35/70mm.

You really should get Close Encounters the mix discrete to the 70mm six-track Dolby stereo the opening is really cool with music starting up slowly and then the “Baby Boom” channel adds that extra low end extension.

The opening has a nice (Baby Boom) slam that last for a few seconds, but what a Dolby stereo mix.

There is no (Baby Boom) in this scene all the low end is covered from the matching three-screen channels.

Hot Rods To Hell, 1966.

Juvenile delinquents in hot rods terrorize family.
Low budget fun with lots of classic cars.
