Good movie. watched the other night. Last night I watched Lucky Sleven, with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and lucy Lu. This movie has some neat twists in it.

Watched The Doors last night for the 2nd time after seeing it when it came out a few years ago. Lots of fun 60's music and scenes,

Loved the scene backstage before the Sullivan show appearance: "The television networks don't want you to use the word "higher" in "Light Your Fire" - can you dig what I'm saying?"

You'll Find Out

1940, Kay Kyser (and his band), Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Ish Kabbible.

Loads of "Old Dark House" type fun!

The Neptune Factor 1973

"The most fantastic undersea odyssey ever filmed"
Umm...yeah, right.
Awful, awful, awful crap.

The "Undersea" monsters are obviously tropical fish in an Aquarium!

Career low point for several name actors including Walter Pidgeon, Ernest Borgnine & Ben Gazzara.

Norbit

Yeah, Norbit

Not great by any means but it has moments that are pretty funny.
3.3 on the IMDB!

"Crossroads" w/ Ralph Macchiio ("The Karate Kid").

Pretty good blues movie with a Ry Cooder soundtrack that sounds real nice on the big rig

Ghost Rider

Eh, it was OK, fun but silly. Best part was Peter Fonda as the Devil.

Of course the Easy Rider references were obvious but there was a Grapes Of Wrath (Henry Fonda) homage too.

Nancy Drew

Been watching some of the Nancy Drew films from 1938-39, sounds silly but these are actually a lot of fun!
They run just over an hour, fast paced and exciting.

Just watched that too, and there's a whole lot of cliche's in that movie. Loved the special effects, It's just getting too good. The end must be near!

Ghost Rider -- I thought it was terrible. The only story that was more shallow and filled with cliches was Eragon. Missed the Easy Rider and Grapes of Wrath references, though, will have to look those up.

"The Queen". Interesting and very well acted. Mirren does an excellent job and the Tony Blair guy is pretty good too. Never realized QE II was such a hands on person.

Walkout
HBO films
OK movie....

America is a country built on equality and opportunity - but when equal opportunity is denied, it's time to fight back. That's exactly what a group of Chicano students did when they walked out of their East LA high schools in 1968, sending an unequivocal message to American educators and administrators that endures today

Surf's Up...the surfing penguins and The Windsurfing Movie at the Maui Film Festival. It was good fun. The Celestial Cinema was incredible when the stars came out.
