Well, my buddy Ed came over to look at it, turns out the blue gun was still weak. We zapped it, and it came right back

Now, the bad news.

I must have at least 40 hours on this set since I got it. BigaudioAl was over this past weekend, and we were watching Rocky III on it. Then Rocky IV .

But just as Apollo Creed got killed, something snapped, and we lost video and audio.....brownish raster and just static in the sound. Shut it off, and it made a FLIPFLIPflipflip....flip.....flip sound. I remember hearing that same sound before, on an early 70s Admiral black and white. It had an instant on feature, and I cut the diode going to the switch to disable it. After that, it would make that same sound when it shut off. Only ever heard that sound once coming from a set, and that was then.

Somehow, that's making me think a diode somewhere let go. Ideas?
