Basically, CTC-17 is correct. When you can't find a new owner, it's basically useless. Its one of those sad but true facts that has to be dealt with. Sure you can put a "free" sign on it in your front yard, providing you're willing to deal with the scrapper who is going to bust it up to take the yoke out of it and leave you a nice mess to clean up, ultimately having to throw it away anyway.

Its best to just take it to the electronics recycler, they'll tell you it's being handled in an environmentally friendly fashion to make you feel all warm and toasty inside, when ultimately, it just gets shipped out to China where it's ground up into dust and used as fertilizer for future crops to be exported to the US...
