1DK1 solid state replacement

What kind of HV diode can I use to replace the 1DK1 tubes found in the early sonyu portables and how do I connect them? From what it looks like, connecting them is really easy. You connect the cathode to the one end of the filament connection that is connected to other stuff, like a HV winding, and leave the other filement connection floating. Then connect the anode of the diode to the same place the plate connection is connected to. I think I have it right.

Thanks.

Jonathan
