Heathkit GR-227 color TV advice
Hi All
I have just put a Heathkit GR-227 color tv on the bench. It is now in London UK so a all tube/valve NTSC Heathkit Color TV is not a type I have worked on before. The circuit seems to be a copy of a R.C.A. CTC16 which I do have and had been modified to NTSC/PAL 4.43MHz working by RCA in the 1960s and I have got that working. This is the first standard US color I have worked on and looking for advice on the problems these Heathkit TV have. The flyback looks OK (I hope) the CRT test OK and is a banded A55-14X so no cataract problems. The degaussing resistor is burnt out and I need to find a replacement. I have noticed it has black sprague and aerovox capacitors in it are these OK or replace on site? Thanks for your help. Keith |
