Best 25" tube chassis color rectangular set of all time?

Right.. The age before the square 90deg CRT was an exception.. But somewhere areound the time that Magnavox introduced the first rectangular CRT with that dredded 23EGP22 CRT, (which I have one good in a box) the quality seemed to suffer a bit. But they did get better, there was just a few years it seemed between 1966 to 1970, and I have even seen some through 1974-5 that didnt ever look that great. This is just based on the 25v chassis. The tabletops seemed much better.

However you're right, the roundies did seem to produce a good picture thou.

Of course this is all based on what I have owned. 2 Magnavox with the 25v, one roundie (looked great), and one with the 23EGP22, (horrible, lack of focus and contrast).. But that could have just been the Motorola CRT. Never got a good reputation.
