To watch or not to watch :scratch2:

Just thought I'd ask: How many of you could actually turn the TV off for over a month, and that means no taped movies either? How much more would you get done if you did? Would you really miss it?

I Guess that while I 'm at it I'll admit that I did just that. We all know what happened to analog TV in June. Right? Well the only two TVs I owned are analog older sets. I only watched the basics, public stations since I had the cable turned off over 10 years ago. As the time approached I figured I would try to see if I could go without TV, I was able to do so when I was in college 30 years ago, so why not now. I am conflicted by the results. I find I don't miss it really, not much on the boob tube worth watching anyway. After we had a small earthquake here last week, it was annoying not to be able to check the news for status reports, but I lived. And by all means I am happy as a clam not to have endured the long drawn out hoopla over MJs death. Hardest part of it all was having to tell my daughter returning from college that I hadn't bought a new TV nor invested in converter boxes. Now as far as getting more done, nawh, I only really watched TV at night so, I merely replaced it with additional computer time and/or catching up on reading.

So do any of you think you could cut the TV off??
