El Salvador goes with ATSC DTV
In the latest "TV Technology" May 27/09, page 6, it says that El Salvador (one of those little Central America countries between Mexico and South America) chose to use the ATSC DTV standard. Along with Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras.
 As they can use the same Chinese made DTV sets and set top converter boxes, to avoid expensive custom designs.
