Motorola TS-612 set...Hot, cold, SS or tube ?
Motorola TS-612 BW set-Tube os ss- (sams 1035-1)
Can ANYONE here tell me what sort of chassis this motorola set has? it is a TS-612 (22TS612-A02). Is it a hybrid, or SS and is it hot or cold? Hope someone has that sams--and can tell me.. Jack. |

Probably all Solid state:

Hello Jack, The TS-612 has 28 transistors 1 3BL2 hv rectifier. Transformer power supply a very solid set. If the crt is good a good catch. I have 2 and they are good working sets, as are the ts-610 & 613 chassis. The later 2 have a/v inputs & outputs. All the best, Tom

So a cold SS set wiht HV rect tube, Any idea of the way the chassis is laid out it it a sort of "flat chassis" design? with a metal frame? Indeed I may have a lea don one of these...

Hi Jack, Yes metal frame flat chassis with a side panel for H-out & H.V. & side panel for tuners, transformers, front controls. All the best,Tom
