Found this little set today for $10.
It's missing the cover for the tuner controls and the antenna.
Also missing is the model number plate from the back.
Anyone know what model this is and what year?

Eric,

I'm curious. Why would you spend $10.00 on something like that?

I had two of those back in the 80's. Great set for the kitchen table and office and unique way of tuning the UHF. I only got about 5 years heavy use out of each. The flyback went bad in both sets and the service center told me it was a common problem with the sets. If I remember correctly the service center couldn't get a replacement flyback. There was a cover that snapped over the right side tuning knob and hid all the adjustments. There also was a set of UHF channel numbers that slid into the tuning dial for the presets. The televisions are long gone but I thought I still had the manuals and preset numbers. If I ever find them there yours.

Was the little red heart below the volume control an option that year?

:dunno: Seemed like a good idea at the time.

It's been so long since I found something "in the wild" that I just couldn't resist.

That was the first thing I removed.
Wanna bet it was owned by a teenage girl? :p:
