Found this set at my local waste dump for free. How do I adjust the screen geometry, as the image is too big, and cut off on the edges? Also, is this a convergence problem?

I don't think the text should look quite like that? I'm aware that the different phosphors appear when you look close at white text, but I don't think it should be running like that?

Don't worry about convergence until the picture size is correct.

I'm honestly thinking that the convergence issue is caused by the image size. I think I will get much better convergence when I get the image sized right.

If the conv issue shows in the middle it needs adjusting. Best to
find a SAMS original PAPER manual. Before touching the magnets
mark them before moving. There may also be a locking ring.
Turn color off, run the contrast & black level down. Adj focus, turn off auto color switch. Converge......

Never seen a size problem on one. There is one adj that may be it BUT need a manual for that.
