Seriously, it says that right on it.
Sadly this is one of the ugliest 60's portable sets I've ever seen. http://cgi.ebay.com/PHILCO-WOODSTOCK...item27bd8a7fdc |
Give me an "F"! Give me an "I"! Give me a "L"! Give me a "C"! Give me an "O"!
Whats that spell! Filco! Whats that spell! Filco! Whats that spell! Filco! .....Sorry I couldn't resist! Tom C. |

I'd get it because it's a Philco. I had a Slender Seventeener in Alligator White that I never got back from the friend/repair guy. I didn't know better at the time.
|
yes, that is ugly!i ve never seen this one before.and i thought the dualette was kinda distasteful!
|
a 60's inspired 70's executed nightmare?
|
Ohhh Dave! Look at that vert problem/interlace. Exciting huh?!?!?

It makes me wonder what the other furniture would look like, in a room where this TV fits in! I'm imagining a lamp made out of a wagon wheel, one of those coffee table/magazine holders with spindles, wood frame couches with similar ornaments, cheap paintings of horses... might be just the thing for watching John Wayne.

Philco may have named this set after the Woodstock era of the late 1960s. |
huge electrical wire spindles made from wood, with a thick epoxy based finish (for round tables).
doorways with beads wine bottles for candle holders blacklight (uv) and posters bean bag chairs stoned again poster on wall yea, I remember the 60's and 70's well |

yea thats a mess. how I love interlace problems... second only to ghost. |
I actually own one of these! Found it in the attic of a TV shop. It uses a cheap, series-string chassis, post-Predicta I guess you'd say. A cheap set all around. I did get mine working without too much trouble. I'd sell it, for a good price, if anybody was in love with this design.

No offense Bryan. |
None taken :) Like a lot of folks here, I don't discriminate much when it comes to old TV sets, especially when they are free like this one was!
