Requesting deflection yoke design data for 5820 3" IO tube
G'day all.
I was wondering if anyone here has any design schematics and data for a 5820 3" image orthicon TV camera tube? I am requesting this information for my future project mentioned a while back which was to build a solid state 3 inch IO camera and whilst tubes often pop up on Ebay, yokes pretty much never show up so I will have to build one myself. Anyways if anyone has any info on 3" IO yoke designs and can supply me with scans it would be much appreciated and I will happily return the favour in some way. I am also after any other yoke designs for all other camera tube types as well too. |
I may have mentioned this before, but you could try trawling through the BATC archives, try issues Number 89, 1979 http://www.batc.org.uk/cq-tv/archive/1975.html
There is a lot of stuff going back 60 years. Brian S |
Thanks Brian. I am actually already aware of that CQ-TV issue and the 4.5" IO camera design given and have seen the yoke design and have downloaded that issue and the other issues relating to that IO camera. I will check the other issues too to see if anything pops up.

Why wouldn't IO's have employed low power electrostatic deflection instead of bulky heavy inefficient electromagnetic deflection?
